They have just unpacked and settled in. At the dinner table, Julide talks about her previous concerns before she came to the neighborhood. She says she is now happy to have Tulay, Veysel and Melek around. Safak calls Sait (headworker in his house) and asks for a favor. He asks him to call Leman and tells her that he hasn’t completed the housework yet. Melek spills some tea on the floor kitchen… and she remembers a moment of her past… a moment when she was sitting on a couch in a living room at someone else’s house. It just flashes for a second, though… but still, this is new. Kerem plays the LP Sureyya got him. He still can’t completely understand his feelings for Sureyya. That looks like love but he can’t name it. Kerem goes to the kitchen to grab a cup of tea. When he comes back, he sees Sureyya sitting in his room, her eyes closed and shifting slightly with the rhythm. Sureyya says maybe he should have knocked. Kerem says it is his room and he just entered. He doesn’t mean to be like “I OWN THE ROOM” but Sureyya gets it like that. She feels offended and leaves the room. Kerem regrets the way he has expressed himself. Leman wants to go and see Safak’s apartment… the place where she thinks is still under restoration… but the fact is Julide and her son lives there now. Safak sets the breakfast table for his mother. He wants to hold her at home. Then Sait calls and talks the way Safak instructed him to. Leman goes mad but she stays. Melek remembers something else… now she remembers something about a good luck charm hanging on the wall. A vision of a house flashes… and an old woman… but she doesn’t know who the old woman is. Melek now thinks she has to remember everything to find Elif. Tulay and Veysel talk about Melek and Elif. Veysel thinks Elif might be alive somewhere. Melek hears them. She remembers something else… a city name; “Izmit”. Then it hits her… Elif might be in Izmit, a city that is very close to Istanbul.
