Video Description
Former White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney explains why Republicans abruptly called off a vote on the Iran war powers resolution just as it was on the verge of passing. “Republicans in the House were going to bring a bill that would require the White House to come to Congress to get approval for the war. They were going to do that with the intention that it would fail,” Mr Mulvaney told Sky News host James Morrow. “They pulled it down at the last minute when they found out it wasn’t going to fail; it was going to pass. “So the Republican-led House was almost getting ready to pass a bill that said that the White House had to come to them to look for approval.”
