Video Description
Russian President Vladimir Putin has denied culpability after NATO claimed Moscow was responsible for a drone that hit an apartment complex in eastern Romania and injured two people on Friday. “I don't even understand what you're talking about,” Putin told a reporter asking him about the incident. “Just before entering this hall, they told me: ‘Did you know that some kind of drone flew into Romania?’ I said, ‘I don't know. What drone?’” he added. While officials say the drone in question was part of a large overnight attack on Ukraine that flew too far, Putin suggested Ukraine was behind the attack in Galati. “These had nothing to do with Russian aircraft, but rather that these drones were of Ukrainian origin,” Putin said. “they had strayed off course, were affected by electronic warfare, or for some other reason,” he added. Putin’s finger-pointing comes after sporadic instances of long-range Ukrainian drones straying into the airspace of Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland over the last few months — rather than their intended Russian targets. Ukraine has taken account for these incidents and apologized, further suggesting Russia has been jamming their aircraft. The Russian president doubled down, requesting officials hand over remnants of the destroyed drone so they can “conduct an objective investigation.” For more info, please go to https://globalnews.ca Subscribe to Global News Channel HERE: http://bit.ly/20fcXDc Follow Global News on X HERE: http://bit.ly/1Toz8mt Follow Global News on TikTok HERE: https://www.tiktok.com/@globalnews.ca?lang=en #GlobalNews #Russia #Ukraine #Romania #NATO
