Video Description
One Singaporean and five Malaysians have been brought back to the shops in Geylang where they allegedly facilitated fraudulent registration of SIM cards. The mobile lines were then used in impersonation scams. Preliminary investigations reveal that all of them used the information of actual customers to register for additional postpaid SIM cards The six, along with a seventh person, were charged on Saturday. Over 150 SIM cards, along with cash and mobile devices, were among items seized in a two-day islandwide enforcement operation against errant retailers last week. Germaine Wong with reports.
