Mais il faut faire attention : On entend souvent dire que le dernier thylacine (tigre de Tasma) s’appelait Benjamin. Or le National Museum of Australia précise que cette idée est un mythe. Pour l'histoire de sa mort, c'est incertain. Certains récits parlent bien d’une mort liée à la négligence, mais des recherches récentes soulignent qu’il manque des preuves solides pour affirmer avec certitude qu’il est mort parce qu’il aurait été enfermé hors de son abri pendant une nuit froide, d'où le "apparemment" dans ma vidéo. Ce qui est certain, en revanche, c’est qu’un des derniers thylacines connus est mort au zoo de Beaumaris, à Hobart, le 7 septembre 1936, et que l'espèce a disparu achevée suite au processus de colonisation. #tigredetasmanie #espècedisparue #environnement #Australieanimaux
