Two dead after 5.2-magnitude quake strikes Guangxi

The tremor jolted Liunan district in the city of Liuzhou in the early hours of May 18, 2026, according to the local earthquake relief headquarters. Several people have reportedly been sent to hospital and thousands of residents forced to leave their homes. Communications, electricity, water and gas supplies, as well as transport links in the affected area, are operating as normal.
