Iran releases video of missile attack

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said on Thursday that it targeted a US airbase in Kuwait in response to an American aerial strike near Bandar Abbas Airport in southern Iran. Later, US Central Command (CENTCOM) said Thursday on the social media platform X that Iran had launched “a ballistic missile toward Kuwait” at 10:17 p.m. ET (0217 GMT) on Wednesday, and that the missile was “successfully intercepted by Kuwaiti forces.” It also said that the US intercepted six Iranian drones, five of which “posed a clear threat in and near the Strait of Hormuz.” The latest strikes came after CENTCOM earlier this week confirmed a previous round of what it described as “defensive” strikes in southern Iran, targeting missile launch sites and Iranian boats allegedly attempting to lay mines.
