Video Description
TEDxChattanooga Sessions has always been about the space between the notes: the stories, the vulnerability, the humanity behind the music. This year, alongside Stove Works, we deepened that experience by also inviting visual art into the room where we collectively explored the intersection of music and visual art. The musicians not only performed stripped down versions of their originals but also perform a brand new song in response to a piece of art in the gallery. During their sets, they performed next to that piece of art sharing the creative journey and the connection they discovered between sound and art. Blake Worthington's setlist: 1. Wouldn't Be Here Now 2. Talk to Ghosts 3. Life Keeps On (debut) inspired by "Listening With My Feet" Talented singer-songwriter originally from the Bluegrass Capital of the World, Owensboro, Kentucky. With a passion for music that runs deep, Blake is fully dedicated to crafting heartfelt songs and captivating audiences with his soulful performances. Having spent several years in Nashville, Tennessee, Blake immersed himself in the vibrant music scene, honing his skills as a musician and songwriter. He played in various bands, collaborating with fellow musicians and exploring different genres. This experience allowed him to develop a versatile sound that blends elements of folk, rock, and Americana. Drawing inspiration from iconic artists such Tom Petty, John Hartford, John Prine, Wilco, and REM; Blake's music carries a nostalgic yet contemporary feel. His love for roots rock shines through in his heartfelt lyrics and melodic compositions, creating a sound that resonates with listeners of all ages. Now residing in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Blake has formed the Blake Worthington STRING Band which is captivating audiences with raw talent and genuine passion for music.
