Video Description
It’s time to build the bracket so we can get the hydraulic pump mounted on the Franna engine! In Part 35 of the Franna Crane Project, we’re fabricating a brand new bracket to suit the Cummins BT50 engine. The 350-grade 8 mm plates have finally arrived, so it’s straight into fitting, grinding, and tacking everything in position. Troy’s SolidWorks drawings hit the mark and all the parts fit together perfectly. Then Kurtis gets creative making a support plate for the air compressor using the original Perkins engine compressor bracket and… a gate hinge. It’s one of those classic workshop moments that just works. Once everything’s tacked together, the whole bracket gets welded out, cooled down, and bolted back to the engine to make sure nothing’s pulled out of shape. With the hydraulic pump bolted on next is making the new drive coupling — but that’s coming up in the next video! 👉 Watch the full Franna Crane Project playlist here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLUzFN5xVei7UatVhlxlw3576rgwg2RTXf Join our channel: We upload new videos every Friday at 5pm AEST!
