Istanbul just became the world’s most visited city, beating out Paris, Dubai, and even Bangkok. But why is everyone coming here?
To find out, I met a local Turkish girl who showed me a side of Istanbul that most tourists never see. This wasn’t some cookie-cutter walking tour — we went deep into the weirdest, tastiest, and most surprising corners of the city!
We kicked things off at a Japanese-style cat café (yes, Istanbul has one), then let a Turkish fortune teller read our love lives like a drama series. After that, we hit a one-of-a-kind baklava bar — not your grandma’s dessert shop. This place serves Turkish desserts in a sushi-style setup, where you sit at the bar and get served handcrafted bites of baklava like you're at Nobu… but for people with a sweet tooth and no self-control!
Next, I faced off with a TWO METER KEBAB in a food challenge that honestly felt like a personal attack. And of course, we couldn’t leave without trying the famous Turkish hammam... except this one had a bizarre twist that I was definitely not prepared for!
So, does Istanbul actually live up to the hype? Is it really the best place to visit in 2025? Or are people just here for the kebabs and chaos?
Hadi gidelim!
