While many across the country are dealing with the start of wildfire season, tensions are running high in southern Alberta and the B.C. interior after a very wet weekend. A melting snowpack and heavy rain have caused flooding in several communities, including Banff. And as Heather Yourex-West reports, with more rain in the forecast, there’s no end to the anxiety. For months, the Great American State Fair has been billed as a massive celebration for the country's 250th birthday. But a growing number of performers are opting out of the big bash and now President Donald Trump is calling for it to be cancelled and replaced with a rally — featuring him. Candice Cole reports. The B.C. Conservatives have elected a new leader. Former Conservative MP Kerry-Lynne Findlay won the tight race on Saturday night with 51 per cent of the vote. And as Keith Baldrey explains, Findlay’s win comes at a pivotal time. For one day each year, some of Montreal's busiest streets are handed over to thousands of cyclists taking part in the Tour de l'Ile.
