Demonstrates outdoor cooking using a parabolic solar cooker at Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar in Gujarat, India. The setup uses a large parabolic reflector made from multiple mirror tiles arranged to concentrate sunlight onto a single focal point. A blackened metal cooking pot is suspended at the focal area to maximize heat absorption for boiling dal and noodles using solar thermal energy. The cooker is mounted on a metal support structure designed to maintain the pot’s position while allowing alignment with the sun.
