Video Description
More than 40 vehicles, including emergency trucks, construction equipment, farm machinery and military transports, were on display at the Navan Touch-A-Truck event, where families got the chance to climb aboard and explore up close. CTV's Camille Wilson speaks with Shelley Cotton, a director with the Navan Community Association, which partnered with the Cumberland Township Agricultural Society to organize the event, and with attendee Delphene Villeneuve, who says she came specifically to honk the horns and experience what it feels like to be up in a truck cab. Cotton says the event, held in celebration of Ottawa's 200th anniversary, also highlights the history of Navan and its agricultural roots as a formerly rural community now part of the city. Attendee Isla Both says what makes the show special is that visitors can walk around and understand the real-world purpose behind each machine.
