Video Description
Before the Nintendo Switch released and after the failure of the Wii U Nintendo was probably in the toughest financial situation in the history of the company. Fast forward a decade - and all of a sudden Nintendo is probably in the best position they have ever been in. The Nintendo Switch is on path to become their best selling console ever, their stock price rose by several hundred percent in just a decade, they released many of their best reviewed games ever during the Nintendo Switch era and most important of all, they seem to have finally found a formula that does not only grant them success once, but that appears to be repeatable. Within ten years, Nintendo went from one of their absolute lowest lows, to the probably most comfortable position that they have ever been in. How did they do this? In this video we are going to investigate this very question. We will travel back in time. We will return to the year 2017, the Switch launch year, and then we will retrace the entire lifecycle of the Nintendo Switch year by year. We will take a look at each year of the console, what games got released, what happened alongside, how the console was developing and we will stop to chatter about other interesting aspects of the Switch along the way, all with a bigger goal in mind. To find an answer to our question. The question of why the Nintendo Switch became Nintendo’s most successful console ever. ---------- / Patreon / patreon.com/ceave ----------- / Timestamps / 00:00:00 - Intro 00:03:43 - 2017 00:09:02 - 2018 00:12:02 - 2019 00:15:22 - 2020 00:17:48 - 2021 00:20:16 - 2022 00:23:45 - 2023 00:27:17 - 2024 ---------- / Sources & Links / Wikipedia: List of best selling Switch / DS / 3DS / N64 / GC / PS4 / GBA / GB games, Joy-Con Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/nintendo/comments/3a23tx/rnintendo_e3_2015_post_event_thoughts/ https://www.reddit.com/r/Games/comments/3a1sz0/rgames_live_nintendo_e3_2015_digital_event/ ----------- / Credits for the Music / -------Nintendo Majora’s Mask OST: “Title Theme”, “Clock Town First Day” Mario Kart 8 OST: “Main Menu” Ocarina of Time OST: “Gerudo Valley” Animal Crossing OST: “Theme Song” The Legend of Zelda OST: “Title Theme” Super Mario Maker 2 OST: “Airship” ------Kevin MacLeod "Adventure Meme" Kevin MacLeod incompetech.com Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/
