Surely It Can’t Happen Twice?? (Is it Phil 2.0!!)

You’d be mad to think it would happen the first time considering how rare it is let alone to two different dogs from different families. Cushings is rare and both parents have to carry the gene to have a litter and even then there’s only a 25% chance the litter will inherit the gene. Phil became an old man well before his time and suffered a lot because of it, lack of energy, constant thirst and urinating, he became much better once we medicated and energy levels and happiness returned somewhat. It was a constant battle though as the dosing had to keep changing and be monitored for affects and blood levels. Teddy fortunately doesn’t show behavioural symptoms but the visual are hard to ignore. Niko doesn’t have any of these visuals. A lot of malamutes tails thin as they get older but he’s started with the bald patches too.
