Roads were clear last night on the PIE, and I moved into Lane 1 as there was genuinely no one around, cruising at around 75-80 km/h, well within the speed limit. A motorcyclist (FBL1437E) came up fast from behind on the same lane. Without any warning, he overtook and immediately cut back in right in front of me and brake-checked me. I had to slam my brakes. I horned and beamed him. He did not budge. He did it again, seemingly adamant on continuing regardless. I had my family in the car with me. I was not going to escalate, so I changed lane to remove ourselves from the situation. As I did, he looked back at me and sped off well above the speed limit. This is not the kind of behaviour we should be seeing on our roads. Had I not been able to brake in time, or had there been a vehicle behind me, this could have easily ended in a chain collision. The way he carried on, it did not feel like a one-off. That is not something any of us should have to encounter, and it is simply not right.
