A Brown-headed Barbet (Psilopogon zeylanicus) lying among dry leaves on the forest floor. The bird displays the species' characteristic green plumage, streaked brown head, orange-yellow bare skin around the eye, and a large stout bill. Its zygodactyl feet, adapted for climbing and gripping tree trunks, are visible as it moves on the ground. The bird appears injured and repeatedly attempts to fly but is unable to become airborne.
