Video Description
Soon after Donkey Kong Bananza released the Donkey Kong Bananza speedrunning community got together and asked the obvious question. How many of those animal transformations are actually required to beat the game? And thus they started hunting! Within only a couple of weeks they found ways to beat the game without learning the Zebra or the Snake bananza. But then … all of a sudden … their hunting efforts came to a sudden stop. The remaining three animals all seemed too crucial to the routing and too critical for the game's completion to be removed as well. It appeared as if three animals were the absolute minimum required to beat Donkey Kong Bananza fast. Most speedrunners moved on and focused their efforts on other things, like discovering glitches or inventing flight. Until a couple of recent discoveries changed everything. In this video we are going to retrace the steps of a hunting effort against all odds. We are going to take a look at why the ostrich is so crucial to the any% speedrun of Donkey Kong Bananza to begin with and we will discuss how a small group of dedicated glitchhunters managed to revolutionize the any% speedrun nonetheless! ---------- / Patreon / Help content like this survive on YouTube: patreon.com/ceave ---------- / Links / Link to my Bananza Critique: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gFXcYa2MidA The current World Record run of Bananza: https://www.speedrun.com/dkb/runs/yoeggljz Twirly’s video about FAT’s: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kbFRNKUTcmQ Nicro’s video about iFAT’s: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rqUpoY-YDRg Link to the Bananza Speedrunning Discord: https://discord.com/invite/NPAUCbmkyr ----------- / Credits for the Music / -------Nintendo The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time OST - “Gerudo Valley” ------Holfix https://www.youtube.com/holfix HolFix - Beyond The Kingdom https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2CiGpsBLBX8 ------Kevin MacLeod "Adventure Meme" Kevin MacLeod incompetech.com this song is Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/
