തിരുവനന്തപുരം ജില്ലയിലെ ആറ്റിങ്ങൽ വഞ്ചിയൂരിന് അടുത്തുള്ള വീട്ടിലാണ് സംഭവം. റൂമിൽ സാധനങ്ങൾ എടുക്കുന്നതിനിടയിൽ വീട്ടമ്മ ഉച്ചത്തിൽ എന്തോ വീഴുന്ന ശബ്ദം കേട്ട് നോക്കിയപ്പോൾ കണ്ടത് വീടിന്റെ മേൽക്കൂരയിൽ നിന്ന് ഒരു വലിയ മൂർഖൻ പാമ്പ് റൂമിനകത്തേക്ക് വീഴുന്നതാണ്. ഉടൻ തന്നെ വാതിൽ പൂട്ടി വാവാ സുരേഷിനെ വിളിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. സ്ഥലത്തെത്തിയ വാവാ സുരേഷ് കട്ടിലിനടിയിൽ നിന്ന് മൂർഖൻ പാമ്പിനെ പിടികൂടി. വിവരമറിഞ്ഞ് നാട്ടുകാരും തടിച്ചുകൂടി. നല്ല പ്രായമുള്ള മൂർഖൻ പാമ്പ്, വീഴ്ചയിൽ തളർന്നിരിക്കുകയാണ്. പക്ഷേ അതിന്റെ കടിയേറ്റാൽ അപകടം ഉറപ്പ്. നല്ല ചൂടായതിനാൽ പാമ്പിന് കുടിക്കാൻ വെള്ളം നൽകി. തുടർന്ന് കേരളത്തിലെ പ്രശസ്തനായ പാമ്പുപിടുത്തക്കാരനും സർപ്പ യജ്ഞക്കാരനുമായിരുന്ന പാമ്പ് വേലായുധന്റെ ഇരുപത്തിയാറാമത് ഓർമ്മദിനം നടക്കുന്ന കൊല്ലം കല്ലുവാതുക്കൽ സമുദ്രതീരം മതേതര വയോജന കേന്ദ്രത്തിലേക്ക് വാവാ സുരേഷ് യാത്ര തിരിച്ചു. പ്രശസ്ത ചലച്ചിത്ര പിന്നണി ഗായകൻ പന്തളം ബാലൻ ചടങ്ങ് ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്തു. പാമ്പ് വേലായുധൻ ട്രസ്റ്റ് ഈ വർഷത്തെ മികച്ച പരിസ്ഥിതി സൗഹൃദ പരിപാടിയായി തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത കൗമുദി ടിവിയിലെ സ്നേക്ക് മാസ്റ്ററിനു വേണ്ടി പരിപാടിയുടെ അവതാരകനായ സ്നേക്ക് മാസ്റ്റർ വാവാ സുരേഷ്, പരിപാടിയുടെ പ്രൊഡ്യൂസർ കിഷോർ കരമന, സീനിയർ ക്യാമറാമാൻ മഹേഷ് എസ്. എന്നിവർ ഗായകൻ പന്തളം ബാലനിൽ നിന്ന് പുരസ്കാരങ്ങൾ ഏറ്റുവാങ്ങി. ചടങ്ങിൽ പാമ്പ് വേലായുധന്റെ മകളും കേരളത്തിലെ ആദ്യ പാമ്പ് സംരക്ഷകയുമായ സംഗീത ജിതേഷ്, ഭാര്യ സരോജിനി വേലായുധൻ, സാമൂഹിക പ്രവർത്തകൻ മഠത്തിൽ അബ്ദുൾ അസീസ്, സമുദ്രതീരം മതേതര വയോജന കേന്ദ്രത്തിന്റെ അമരക്കാരൻ റൂബിൻ സിങ്, പാമ്പ് വേലായുധൻ ട്രസ്റ്റിലെ അംഗങ്ങളും പല ജില്ലകളിൽ നിന്ന് എത്തിയ പാമ്പ് സംരക്ഷകരും ചടങ്ങിൽ സന്നിഹിതരായിരുന്നു. കാണുക സ്നേക്ക് മാസ്റ്ററിന്റെ ഈ എപ്പിസോഡ്...⬆️ The incident took place at a house near Vanchiyoor in Attingal, Thiruvananthapuram district. While the housewife was picking up some items in a room, she heard a loud thud. Upon checking, she saw a large cobra falling from the roof into the room. She immediately locked the door and called Vava Suresh. Arriving at the scene, Vava Suresh captured the cobra from under the bed. Hearing the news, local residents also gathered at the spot. It was an old cobra and appeared exhausted from the fall, but a bite would have certainly been fatal. Since it was very hot, the snake was given some water to drink. Following this, Vava Suresh set off for the Samudratheeram Secular Senior Citizens' Center in Kalluvathukkal, Kollam, where the 26th memorial anniversary of the late Pambu Velayudhan—a renowned snake catcher and 'Sarpa Yajnakkaran' of Kerala—was being held. Famous playback singer Pandalam Balan inaugurated the ceremony. On behalf of Kaumudy TV's Snake Master, which was selected by the Pambu Velayudhan Trust as the best eco-friendly program of the year, the show's host Vava Suresh, producer Kishore Karamana, and senior cameraman Mahesh S. received the awards from singer Pandalam Balan.
