EV charging trackers and EV charging robots are helping solve EV charging bottlenecks in Shanghai.
This resident surnamed Lin usually drives 20 kilometers to work, both ways.
Previously she would use charging piles in her office garage. But now there's an automated system in which a charging pile attached to a track on the ceiling, slides on over to whichever car has booked it. The nozzle drops down, and recharging begins.
Lin says with some 64 charging stations now in use, recharging has become a breeze.
For cars parked in outdoor parking lots, like in residential buildings, another solution is making waves.
Charging robots that resemble small driverless delivery vehicles roll up next to your car for personalized service.
Data shows that there were 21.48 million EV charging facilities in China as of March this year, about 47 percent more than last year at this time.
