As the carriers cross paths, they weave the wire into a tightly interlocked braided sleeve around the hose core. The braid acts like external armor for the flexible tubing, allowing it to bend while resisting pressure, vibration, stretching, and mechanical damage. Different braid patterns and wire thicknesses are used depending on the hose’s intended pressure rating and industrial application.
