Saudi Arabia's Science and Engineering team returned home to a hero's welcome at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh after clinching 24 international awards — including 12 Grand Awards and 12 Special Awards — at the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) 2026, held in Phoenix, Arizona from May 9 to 15. Competing against more than 1,700 students from 70 countries, the Saudi team secured the world's first position in Computational Biology and Informatics, and maintained its second global ranking for the third consecutive year, trailing only the United States. The 40-member team included 23 students who attended in person while 17 participated online from Riyadh. Selected from winners of the National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity "Ibda 2026," these students had qualified from among 357,000 candidates who submitted over 34,000 scientific projects across 22 disciplines, passing through six rigorous evaluation stages. Saudi Arabia has now accumulated a total of 209 ISEF awards since its first participation in 2007, comprising 136 Grand Awards and 73 Special Awards. The team is represented by the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) in partnership with the Ministry of Education. #SaudiArabia #ISEF2026 #SaudiStudents #Science #Engineering #Mawhiba #Vision2030 #YouthInnovation #SaudiScience #GlobalAchievement #Education #STEMYou said: امریکہ میں ایئر شو کے دوران دو لڑاکا طیارے ٹکرا کر تباہ
