What if your identity isn’t in what you change, but in what you preserve? Dr. Sparsh Johari, an Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering at IIT Guwahati, uses his life trajectory, interests, setbacks and interestingly, civil engineering principles to show how life can be renovated without losing its core.
Through powerful structural metaphors, we see how careers, roles, and environments may change, but strong values act as the load path that keeps us grounded, helping us grow without losing ourselves. Dr. Sparsh Johari is an Assistant Professor in Civil Engineering at IIT Guwahati and an adjunct faculty member at its School of Business. His research focuses on construction project management, particularly workforce productivity, skill development, and training models. A Ph.D. graduate from IIT Delhi, he has received accolades including the Amit Garg Memorial Research Award and the Young Researchers Award by InSc. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
