Smart technology is helping increase crayfish production in eastern China's crayfish capital Xuyi County.
At this pond, dozens of sensors monitor the quality, temperature and PH value of the water in less than half the time it traditionally takes.
Another hurdle solved with technology: counting large numbers of tiny crayfish fry.
Special AI machines can count tens of thousands of fry in just 10 seconds, elevating a job that used to be done manually, with a pair of tweezers.
Data shows that as of last year China's total crayfish farming area is about 666 million square meters, with an annual production of about 150,000 tons.
