Spreading Smiles in Mauritius with Upcycled Schoolbags | Aircrafted KIDS by Emirates

Aircrafted KIDS by Emirates is breathing new life into our aircraft seats, by upcycling them into schoolbags and donating them to children in need all around the world. Our next stop takes us to Mauritius, where 100 bags are being donated to APEIM (Association des Parents d'Enfants Inadaptés de l'Île Maurice), one of the island's leading organisations supporting children and young people with intellectual disabilities. Through specialised education, therapy and vocational programmes, APEIM helps students develop essential life skills, build confidence and find greater inclusion in society. Coinciding with Mauritius' Independence Day celebrations and held in the presence of H.E. Mr Dharambeer Gokhool, President of the Republic of Mauritius, the Emirates team personally distributed bags filled with stationery, notebooks, story books and drawing supplies.
