Hip Thrust Foot Placement & Muscles Worked
No matter where you place your feet, the hip thrust will still train the glutes, hamstrings, and quads to some degree.
But changing your foot position can shift the emphasis slightly:
1) Feet Farther Away
Greater than a 90° knee angle
➡️ More hamstring emphasis
2) Feet Around 90°
Shins roughly vertical at the top
➡️ More glute emphasis
3) Feet Closer In
Less than a 90° knee angle
➡️ More quad emphasis
