‘You’re making stuff up’: Marco Rubio unleashes on Democrat Senator over ‘absurd’ slander

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has been forced to defend his personal conduct on Capitol Hill as he faced a tense grilling in front of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Democrat Senator Jacky Rosen accused Mr Rubio in her line of questioning of attending a party instead of focusing on the war in Iran. “What party was I at? I was at a party? … if you’re going to say that, I’m going to answer it. I’m going to answer that question because that’s an absurd statement. I was not at a party. If people are going to slander me, I’m going to answer it,” Mr Rubio said. “You are 100 per cent inaccurate and 100 per cent wrong. “You don’t know what you’re talking about; you’re just making stuff up. I know your staff wrote up this cute statement for your TikTok video, but it’s not true, and it’s not real. That’s not what happened.”
