Dr. Aurojyoti, an esteemed Ayurveda scholar and expert in Odia temple traditions, reveals the profound Shakti principles governing rituals at the sacred Sri Jagannath Temple in Puri. The temple is known as Shri Mandir, while Puri is revered as Shri Kshetra, the domain of Goddess Lakshmi.
The Mahaprasad is believed to be cooked by Lakshmi herself. During the annual Rath Yatra (Kar festival), Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra, and Subhadra depart without her. Upon their return, an angry Lakshmi closes the temple doors.
Jagannath humbly offers her Rasgulla and sings her praises to pacify her. Only then does she allow them inside. This ritual symbolises a deep truth: Purusha remains powerless before Prakriti, the supreme feminine divine energy. #shorts
