It's one of the world's premier electronics markets: Huaqiangbei in southern China's Shenzhen.
It's essential shopping for all the latest gadgets and devices, with many tourists arriving at the mall with empty suitcases meant to carry all their purchases.
Huaqiangbei is also home to inventors and so-called "makers" who rent space in the mall to be close to the parts and products they need.
People like Noah Zerkin who's working on the prototype of a new pair of smart glasses.
Zachary Harney, an LED laser artist who's also based in the mall says it's easy to develop new concepts at Huaqiangbei.
Huaqiangbei is home to more than 110,000 business entities, more than 1,300 design firms, 3,200 R&D companies, and more than 1,200 prototyping and testing companies.
