After 7 years of construction, the time had finally come. The new Disney Adventure was undocked from the Meyer Werft shipyard in Wismar on April 19, 2025. At 208,000 GT, the Disney Adventure may not be the largest cruise ship in the world, but it will still be a record-breaking ship. Construction originally began in 2018 as the Global Dream for Dream Cruises. After the bankruptcy of Dream Cruises and MV Werften in 2022, Disney bought the ship. At over 7 years, it will be the longest construction time for a cruise ship. The construction costs of around 2 billion dollars are also unique. Never before has a larger ship been undocked from a hangar and the Disney Adventure is the largest cruise ship ever built in Germany. The first cruises will depart from Singapore on December 15, 2025.
