Left-wing activist Cenk Uygur on 'absurd' decision to ban him from the UK

A left-wing broadcaster, banned from entering the UK by Home Office, says the decision is "absurd". Cenk Uygur told Sky News, "I was in London and Oxford last year and I don't remember any riots breaking out then." Uygur, along with fellow broadcaster Hasan Piker, were supposed to be speaking at an Arts and Tech festival in London this week but both their visas have been cancelled, at the request of the Home Secretary, Shabana Mahmood. The Home Office said the reason was on the grounds that their presence in the UK may not be conducive to the public good.
