In the days after Alberta Premier Danielle Smith announced the province would vote on a referendum question in October about whether to pursue separation, representatives from Alberta's most populous city have expressed concern. Mayor Jeromy Farkas said Calgary would feel the impact of the province's separatist debate 'first and hardest,' while Deborah Yedlin, the president and CEO of the Calgary Chamber of Commerce, tells Power & Politics this referendum question is 'absolutely not what we need right now.'
