In case you missed it (May 28, 2026): Atty Ruben Carranza, International Center for Transitional Justice senior expert, says it is unlikely that the International Criminal Court will pursue a case of obstruction of justice against those who helped Sen. Bato dela Rosa escape. “Ang tawag dyan conduct that interferes with the administration of justice, ICC, hindi siya basta-basta magbubukas ng kaso tungkol dyan…In theory pwedeng magbukas ng ganyan kaso sa ICC yung ICC prosecutor, pero makakapag-complicate lang yan sa trabaho niya. Kakain ng mga resources at oras,” he said. He added the ICC is not dependent on the Philippine Supreme Court’s decision on whether or not the ICC warrant for Sen. Bato Dela Rosa is valid.
