Did you catch these Easter eggs and hidden references in One Piece Live Action Season 2? The new Netflix adaptation is filled with small details that longtime fans of the anime and manga will recognize.
During Zoro and Tashigi’s fight, you can spot Pedro’s wanted poster hidden in the background. There are also early appearances of fan-favorite characters like Sabo and Bartolomeo, showing up nearly 500 episodes earlier than in the anime, while Brook appears about 200 episodes early.
The series even references the Sun God Nika when Luffy briefly does the Nika dance, and Luffy mentions someone he knew who sang “Binks’ Sake.” While many fans think of Shanks, this could also be a subtle reference to Uta, Luffy’s childhood friend.
Sharp-eyed viewers can also find statues of Nika, Brogy, and Loki, along with a hidden shop sign referencing Manmayer and Figarland, two names connected to deeper One Piece lore.
One Piece Live Action Season 2 is packed with Easter eggs, hidden details, and references to the anime and manga. If you’re a fan of the Straw Hats — Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Sanji, Usopp, Robin, and Vivi — there are plenty of moments to catch.
There are probably even more hidden references waiting to be discovered, but so far Season 2 is an amazing adaptation that really captures the spirit of the Straw Hat Pirates.
