President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. inspects the G. Araneta Drainage Improvement Project along E. Rodriguez Sr. Avenue in Quezon City on May 20, 2026. In line with the government’s nationwide ‘Oplan Kontra Baha’ program, the project involves installing two 1.50-meter-diameter High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) pipes as part of the upgrading and rehabilitation of the existing drainage system. This aims to address recurring flooding along G. Araneta Avenue, from Kaliraya Street to E. Rodriguez Sr. Avenue, with the drainage ultimately discharging into the San Juan River.
