Filipino festival: Fiesta Extravaganza coming to Ottawa

In celebration of Philippine Heritage Month this June, the nation's capital is preparing to host a massive cultural celebration. Event organizer Phil joins Your Morning Ottawa to preview the upcoming Ottawa Fiesta Extravaganza, happening June 13 and 14 at the Cohere Centre. The two-day diverse festival features live performances from international celebrities and multicultural bands, an outdoor car show, and authentic culinary highlights including whole roasted pig (lechon) brought in from Toronto and delicious street barbecue. The segment concludes with a special thanksgiving harvest performance of the traditional Salakot rice farmer's hat dance by local community seniors.
