Soi 11 was always my favourite place to stay in Bangkok when I used to visit on holiday because it is 10 minutes walk (or a short taxi ride) to both Nana and Cowboy, and the better clubs were on your doorstep. To me it's very sad to see the overdevelopment of condos in the area. Bangkok is losing it's character and charm in a lot of places as old favourite bars/restaurants/clubs are put out of business to make way for generic condominium buildings. High class freelancers can be found here in the evenings. 12:55 Levels nightclub, attracts the younger and more affluent crowd. Strict dress code of no flip flops/shorts/vests etc... 13:47 More new trendy bars and restaurants 14:42 Holiday Inn Express, decent 4-star hotel 15:01 Daniel Thaiger award winning burger joint. Not cheap but if you like greasy burgers they are hard to beat. 16:01 Coffee Club & Chilli Culture Thai restaurant 16:29 Insanity Nightclub, a large club with a strict dress code and entry fees of around 300/400 baht. International DJs sometimes visit here... 17:09 Firehouse burger restaurant has closed for good 17:48 Apoteka live music bar (blues/jazz most nights) 18:03 Villa Market, excellent expat supermarket selling many imported goods. This is on the site of the old Q Bar nightclub. 18:22 Le Fenix, an average hotel with affordable room rates from around $36 a night 19:00 Massage parlours 20:35 Fraser Suites 5-star serviced apartments. Many return visitors will only stay here due to the large rooms and excellent service.
