"Chris Whitney is the Founder and CEO of One Generation Away (OneGenAway), a 12-year-old nonprofit committed to ensuring no one is unseen and no one is hungry. Under his leadership, OneGenAway has grown into a multi-state organization distributing more than 10 million pounds of food annually, mobilizing tens of thousands of volunteers, and serving families through mobile pantries and doorstep delivery with dignity and care.
Chris has shaped innovative, scalable food-access models that combine operational excellence with deep human connection, addressing food insecurity while restoring hope, honor, and dignity. He attended Harvard Business School’s Strategic Perspectives in Nonprofit Management, equipping him to lead mission-driven growth with discipline and vision.
Chris is the author of The Dirty Church and a sought-after speaker on faith, leadership, and building nonprofit movements that last." This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
