China becomes Serbia’s key partner

A recent visit by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic to China was his first state visit to the economic powerhouse, and it also marked a significant moment for the Balkan country. Serbia-China relations have been mostly shaped by traditional infrastructure projects, but technology, artificial intelligence and a changing international order may mark the beginning of a new phase. In this episode, Across The Balkans examines the importance of the visit with Stefan Vladisavljev, program director of the Foundation Belgrade Fund for Political Excellence for a Responsible Society. After Orthodox Christianity, Islam is the second largest religion in the country. Most Muslims live in the Sandzak region, and the majority are Bosniaks.
