Donald Trump’s China visit may have looked friendly on camera, but behind the scenes the atmosphere was full of distrust, security tension and spying fears. Reports claim that before boarding Air Force One, the US delegation threw away every item gifted by Chinese officials including burner phones, badges, invites and souvenirs ,fearing possible Chinese surveillance or tracking. The visit also reportedly saw heated arguments between Chinese officials and the US Secret Service over security protocols. One White House staffer was even injured in the crowd during the summit.
