US moves to treat Ebola patients at its airbase in Kenya, protests and a court order are stopping it

More than 280 cases of Ebola have now been confirmed in the Democratic Republic of Congo and there are more than a thousand suspected case worldwide. Tensions are high in Kenya as plans are in motion to potentially treat some U.S. citizens at an air base in their country. The idea is welcomed by some, against a backdrop of billowing smoke at protests just a few kilometres from the proposed site. Other residents say the move spells trouble for the country. Those plans are now on hold as a Kenyan court has ordered a temporary suspension after a lawsuit argued the site could endanger public health. Global’s Katherine Ward reports.
