Ahmedabad Crime Branch has arrested a man accused of posing as a fake Gujarat Police officer to allegedly cheat and exploit multiple women through dating and matrimonial apps. The accused, Himanshu alias Rocky Panchal, reportedly used fake police uniforms, AI-generated government documents, forged ID cards and fabricated stories about income tax raids, frozen bank accounts and legal troubles to gain victims’ trust. Police say he targeted women across Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Bhopal and Udaipur through platforms like Bumble, Hinge, Shaadi.com and Instagram. Investigators are now trying to find out how many women were affected by the alleged fraud network. The copyright ownership in the video rests with India Today Group.
