Upcoming World Cup Boosts China's Sports Goods Exports

Sports gear manufacturers in China are going into overtime with their production schedules as the World Cup looms. In east China's Shandong Province, this flag manufacturing firm has added a second shift to increase output. They've already made 8 or 9 million products including national flags, bunting flags, and hand flags. According to statistics, Shandong exported about 735 million U.S. dollars-worth of sports goods and World Cup-related products in the first four months of the year, an annual increase of more than 4 percent. The World Cup will take place from June 11th to July 19th in Mexico, the U.S. and Canada.
