❌ Pec Fly Mistake
Don’t keep your arms completely straight at the start of the pec fly machine, and don’t set the seat too low.
When the seat is too low, your elbows end up around shoulder height. And if your elbows are behind your shoulders in the starting position while also sitting at shoulder height, it can put your shoulders in a more vulnerable position.
Keeping your arms too straight at the start can also increase shoulder stress.
Instead, set the seat high enough so your elbows are slightly below your shoulders. Start with your arms slightly bent, then as you bring the handles together, gradually straighten your arms.
This keeps the movement safer and helps you target your chest more effectively.
