Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed to have targeted U.S. military bases in Kuwait and Bahrain, including naval and air force installations. According to a statement issued by CENTCOM, Iran launched attacks involving multiple ballistic missiles against Kuwait and Bahrain; these missiles were either intercepted or missed their intended targets. The U.S. attacked a communications tower located on Iran's Qeshm Island in the Strait of Hormuz—an action the U.S. military has characterized as an act of self-defense.
