MetroTV, BREAKING NEWS - PUTIN PAYS OFFICIAL VISIT TO CHINA FOR TALKS WITH XI Russian President Vladimir Putin visits China on May 19-20 for talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping. The official visit coincides with the 25th anniversary of the Treaty of Good-Neighbourliness, Friendship and Cooperation, a key document in Russia-China relations. Putin and Xi are expected to discuss bilateral ties, economic cooperation, strategic partnership, and major international and regional issues. They are also due to attend a ceremony marking the launch of the Russia-China Years of Education for 2026-2027. Putin is also scheduled to meet Chinese Premier Li Qiang for talks focused on trade and economic cooperation.
