Tropical storm Jangmi injures 9 in Japan, leaves thousands without power

Tropical storm Jangmi — which was downgraded from a typhoon — battered southwestern Japan on Tuesday (Jun 2), knocking out power to tens of thousands of homes, grounding hundreds of flights and injuring nine people in Okinawa. The storm prompted the evacuation of 390,000 people in Miyazaki city on the island of Kyushu.
