Headstart: Kabataan Partylist Rep. Renee Co, one of the spokespersons of the House prosecution panel, said on Friday, May 22, that they welcome the Senate’s schedule for the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte, while stressing that accountability efforts are never futile despite political challenges. Co said the prosecution is preparing mock trials and lining up witnesses and evidence, including officials from government agencies, and added that the proceedings will also test the Senate’s independence and integrity as senator-judges take on the case.
