Former U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi arrived on Capitol Hill on Friday to testify before a U.S. House Committee as part of the investigation into deceased sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Bondi's appearance comes over a month after U.S. President Donald Trump fired her as attorney general. Repeated criticism over Bondi's handling of the Epstein files, including from Trump allies and some Republican lawmakers, was believed to be a contributing factor to her dismissal.
Bondi was accused of covering up or mismanaging the release of records on the DOJ’s sex trafficking investigations into Epstein, a financier who cultivated ties with an array of wealthy and powerful figures.
"I think it's time for her to come out and just be honest about everything that she knows and stop protecting the people that she's protecting," said Epstein survivor Marina Lacerda.
Meanwhile, Democrat Rep. Melanie Stansbury accused the Trump administration of a "cover up."
