Key Republican senators are pushing to use federal funds for the construction of the White House ballroom President Donald Trump has planned, citing increased threats following Saturday’s shooting at the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner. #trump #politics #worldnews #usa The ballroom, if it is built, is expected to be used for state dinners and other presidential events planned by the White House, and GOP Senators plan to try and pass standalone legislation to build the ballroom with taxpayer funds.
